  • Bhí lá iontach againn ar Aoine 15ú Márta. Bhí ceolchoirm againn sa halla. D'éisteamar le ceoltóirí ó Comhaltas agus um thráthnóna chuamar go dtí an halla chun amhráin a canadh, paidir a rá agus Amhrán na bhFiann a canadh freisin. We had a great day for Lá Glas in the hall. Ms. Francis organised for her branch of Comhaltas to come to our school to play a few tunes and to show the children traditional irish instruments. Later in the day we went to the ahll again for our own concerts - 3rds and 4ths went together and 5ths & 6ths then went. All gave a rousing rendition of Amhrán na bhFiann our national anthem.

  • Táimid ag ceiliúradh Seachtain na Gaeilge ar scoil. Beidh go leor ar siúl do sheachtain na gaeilge sa scoil. Tá na ranganna go léir ag foghlaim amhráin as gaeilge agus an paidir Sé do Bheatha Mhuire. Chomh maith le sin tá an scoil ar fad ag foghlaim Amhrán na bhFiann. Beidh Tráth na gceist ar siúl i ranganna, éalain le haghaidh Lá le Pádraig agus SnaG agus na daltaí a spreagadh chun cúpla focail gaeilge a labhairt. Beidh Ms Leahy ag múineadh damhsa do na ranganna freisin. Go leor a bheith bródúil as a bheith Éireannach! (We are celebrating Seachtain na Gaeilge in school. There will be lots of different activities going on in various classes. Each class is busy preparing a song through irish and the whole school is learning our national anthem Amhrán na bhFiann aswell as learning the Hail Mary in Irish. Some classes will be doing table quizzes and artwork. Ms. Leahy will also be taking each class for irish dancing. Lots to celebrate and to be proud of being Irish!)

  • We have seen great improvements in punctuality duering February and the pupils with full merits for punctuality for the month of Feb were given their extra yard time today - they had a great time! The focus for the month of March is not only punctuality but also attendance. Lots of goodies and some great prizes to be won for those with full attendance for March and perfect punctuality each week.
