Ms. Gleeson's Class
Fáilte go rang a ceathair le Ms Gleeson. I can't believe it's nearly Hallowe'en (Oíche Shamhna) already!
It's October now and we've been busy. We learned all about Princess Hasime from Japan and are now learning about ancient Greece.
We've learnt all the counties of Ireland and we have little raps and movements to go with most of the provinces. Leinster wasn't so hard in the end. :)
We're coming to the end of our swimming lessons in Coolmine every Tuesday. The attitude of each child was fantastic, especially the bravery of several nervous beginners.
Our Roots of Empathy program is going amazingly. The class look forward to Baby Isabella's visits every 3 weeks, and she is loving their energy and hand movements. This program will continue throughout the year.
The class is a very musical group, both vocally and physically, we've learned some Irish songs such as Mo Phóca and now we've moved onto our Autumn poems like An tIora Rua agus an scéal Fionn agus and Fathach Fíochmhar.
We're starting the tin whistle very soon, the children are very excited.
It's Maths week time again and we've been enjoying playing maths games on the chrome books, with games like 'Hit the Button,' and Multiplication.com.
Congratulations to Kayleigh, Jaxon, David and Fiona, Erin and Frankie who have won 'Pupil of the Week,' so far.
Stay tuned for more updates as the year progresses.
