Ms. Mahon's class
We have got straight down to work learning about Princess Hase Hime in our History and the county of Japan in our Geography lessos. We have also loved working with clay during our Art lesson! Our task was to make some of our favourite foods from clay.
We hope you like the pictures attached of our work to date.
We have also been learning “The Fields of Athenry”, “The Dawning of the Day” and “The Bare Necessities” on our tin whistles and dancing to disco music through our Dabble Doo programme! Congratulations to Corey, Cayla and Louie, who were awarded our student of the week. Our class has also won a trip to Millenium Park due to high points being collected! We changed the colour of the cloth on our Sacred Space to reflect the Liturgical season. We used chalk and torn paper to recreate the Northern Lights during another Art lesson.
Our school was thrilled to have the Irish author and illustrator Alan Nolan visit us recently. We enjoyed listening to him reading an extract from his new book and indeed drawing with him! Pictures below!
