Ms. O' Shea's Class

It is hard to believe it is June and nearly the summer holidays with the weather we are having! There has been a lot of fun events going on and there is more to come. We had great fun on our sports day and we enjoyed all the varied activities involved. A big thank you to Ms O’Mahony for organising it all. Unexpectedly a surprise elephant, with gorgeous eyelashes, visited the PE hall of Scoil Mhuire Senior. There are some fantastic artists in the class and they did a great job of drawing the elephant.

The children worked very hard on their animal projects and I hope they learnt a lot about their chosen animal while having fun.

We are really looking forward to next week as we have our Matilda Day where we get to dress up like a character from the story, watch the film and maybe eat some cake! We will also be going to Clara Lara for our school tour and we are all very excited.

Our class have been taking part in the Happy Maths programme where the children are practising their Maths and strategy skills. In a competition there was a draw between two children in our class which has never happened before. On the theme of Maths, we were also delighted to have some parents come into the class for four weeks and play games with small groups. It was great fun and we really appreciated the parents' help, so thank you very much.

Well done to the most recent students of the week.
