Ms. Gleeson'sClass
Céad mile fáilte to Rang Ms. Gleeson. Happy New Year!
It’s all go in Scoil Mhuire Senior since we came back after our Christmas holidays in January.
We've learned about Mahatma Gandhi and discussed types of discrimination, human rights and the types of protests, peaceful or otherwise.
The children did amazing portraits of Gandhi and indeed portraits of themselves. Their observation skills are amazing.
We’re now doing a lot of work preparing for the children’s confirmation in April.
We’re going to mass every Wednesday, and brushing up on our prayers and responses in the church.
We had our retreat with Brother Martin in January, which was really enjoyable for the children.
We’ve been learning about An Aimsir (Weather) agus Éadaí (Clothes) and the children are exploring different ways of expressing themselves, including a range of seanfhocail. Their interest and enthusiasm is commendable.
Is fearr Gaeilge briste ná Béarla cliste. (Broken Irish is better than clever English).
Our next topic in Irish will be ‘An t’Earrach!’ Spring is here!
